Sustainability Planning & Advisory Services

Angus & Associates is involved in a range of sustainability planning and advisory services, especially within the events industry.

Wellington Convention Centre’s Environmental Policy

Angus & Associates provided strategic advice to the Wellington Convention Centre that resulted in the development of an Environmental Policy and ultimately led them to achieve the ISO 14001 Environmental Management Standard.

Angus & Associates also assisted Wellington Convention Centre to develop and implement a communications strategy aimed at maximising awareness of its environmental policy and its achievement of the ISO 14001 Standard. This strategy resulted in widespread coverage in both mainstream and industry media.

The Wellington Convention Centre was a nominee in the ‘Green Gold’ environmental category at the Wellington Business Awards 2008 for its environmental initiatives.

NZAEP Seminar Series

Tim Grubb from Angus & Associates participated in a national speaking tour as part of the New Zealand Association of Events Professionals' seminar series: “Environmentally Sustainable Events”, supported by SPARC and New Zealand Major Events.

Tim provided a background to the issue of environmental sustainability and discussed how the events industry might respond to the issue, both from an individual and collective perspective, addressing accreditation and other industry responses.

Conventions and Incentives New Zealand Sustainability Action Group (SAG)

Angus & Associates advised the Conventions and Incentives New Zealand (CINZ) Sustainability Action Group on options for implementing the environmental components of its 2015 Strategy.

This has involved consulting CINZ members on their environmental practices, information requirements and the role they see for their industry association.
